JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for experienced, knowledgeable and highly skilled therapists to join our private practice as contract associates. Specifically, we are looking for Registered Social Workers (RSW’s) to join our team.

Incumbents must be able to provide a minimum of ten to fifteen client hours each week virtually and with the possibility of gaining experience with in person therapy in the future.

Our ideal candidate should have experience in working with at least one of the following populations:

  1. couples and families
  2. trauma and attachment related concerns

Priority will be given to applicants who have training and experience in the following therapeutic modalities:  EMDR, sensorimotor psychotherapy, adult attachment psychotherapy and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.

Note: Multiple Positions are available based on the high volume of incoming referrals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Social Work.
  • License/Registration (in good standing) in Ontario and are a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers or Social Service Workers.
  • Ability to independently conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments with incoming referrals, develop an appropriate plan of intervention and deliver treatment.
  • Expertise in providing psychotherapy services to a specific population and or/adults, teenagers, children, couples, the elderly, and families.
  • Ability to address a range of mental health challenges (e.g.: anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, chronic pain, chronic illness, grief, racial trauma, PTSD).
  • Ability to engage in effective and clear communication, sound judgment, and empathic ability to establish therapeutic relationships.
  • Demonstrated comfort with collaboration and open to continuous learning and development.
  • Able to provide documented proof of degree, registration with regulatory body and appropriate and updated individual malpractice insurance.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, organization and detailed electronic records.
  • Ability to uphold PHIPPA and PIPEDA along with all other relevant legislation governing the practice of psychotherapy in Ontario.
  • Comfort and experience with working online and a reliable internet connection.
